MBOX downloaded from Delivery Module missing attachments (6.1)

0 votes

Hi -

We had a patron access a collection using the Delivery module in our reading room. They labeled a number of messages (~8% of the corpus) that they wished to have copies of. When I downloaded the labeled messages as an MBOX file, however, the attachments appear to be missing.

After loading the downloaded MBOX into a separate instance of ePADD, I can see references to the attachments (see attached screencaps), but they are empty files. They seem to have filepaths associated with them from the computer in our reading room.

Is there anyway to export the the messages and attachements associated with a label from the Delivery module?

Hi Peter -

Version 6.1 of ePADD was used both to prepare the delivery data and for the delivery module.

Please use ver 7. Older ver is not supported anymore.

Hi Peter -

Production Version 7 was announced on January 31, 2019. This patron was using ePADD in December 2018, when the 7.0 was in beta, so I used the most recent production version, which was 6.1. I'm not sure I agree with your suggestion that we implement beta software into our production environments.

I am not saying you use ver 7 in Dec 2018. I am asking you to use ver 7 from now on because ver 6 is replaced by ver 7 already,

Oh, thanks. I misunderstood what you were asking. I'll give it a shot in the next couple of days.

ePADD is a software package developed by Stanford University's Special Collections & University Archives that supports archival processes around the appraisal, ingest, processing, discovery, and delivery of email archives.
