Regular Expression search not functioning as expected

0 votes

Hi -

Using the Advanced Search function, and checking the regular expression box, does not seem to return any results.

I tried my own custom regex: \$?\d{1,3}K?.{1,9}salary

as well as one of the others from the presetqueries.txt file: [0-9]{3}[- ][0-9]{2}[- ][0-9]{4}

Neither return results, but in the case of the latter, I know that two messages in my test corpus include SSNs (both are flagged in the Sensitive Messages section).

Does ePADD expect the regex to be formatted in a certain way (standard opening character, etc.)?

Hi Farrell,

Thanks for pointing out this issue. Unfortunately the feature appears to be incompletely implemented in the 2.0 release. Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll be addressing the problem in a future release.

ePADD is a software package developed by Stanford University's Special Collections & University Archives that supports archival processes around the appraisal, ingest, processing, discovery, and delivery of email archives.
