Generating lists for annotated, restricted, viewed, or do not transfer emails in Appraisal module

0 votes

Hi there -- Is there a way to get a list, browse, or search for those emails that you have already marked in some way? For example if you have added an annotation to a number of emails, or have marked that you have reviewed a number of emails, is there a way to generate or browse that list?
I see that once you are viewing search or browse results, you can view or limit by those that have been annotated, but is there a way to see all the emails that have had processing done to them across a collection?

Hi Jessica,

The "Export" tab within the appraisal and processing modules allows the user to view all messages marked "Message to transfer," "Do not transfer," and "Transfer with restrictions."

While there is not currently a dedicated "Annotations" screen, a user could select the column marked annotations from the Export tab to order to view these lists according to whether or not they have annotations assigned. We will be looking more closely at annotation management later in the grant cycle, and would appreciate any feedback as to how you are using the annotation feature.

Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to view which messages have been marked as "reviewed" outside of the message review screen. Unlike the other actions, the "reviewed" action does not directly affect the export status of the messages, so it was not included on that screen. Would it be helpful for your processing workflow to be able to view a dedicated list of messages by review status?

ePADD is a software package developed by Stanford University's Special Collections & University Archives that supports archival processes around the appraisal, ingest, processing, discovery, and delivery of email archives.
